At the poignant Abbaye d'Ardenne, we recount the tragic events that unfolded when Waffen SS forces executed twenty Canadian soldiers from the North Nova Scotia Highlanders and the 27th Armoured Regiment. The number of Canadian casualties was of 1,200 out of 21,400 troops who landed at Juno that day.
