Monaco

Monaco, located on the Côte d'Azur, French Riviera region of France is the 2nd smallest country in the world and is known to be a safe haven for some of the wealthiest persons in the world.

Located between the cities of Nice and Menton, the "Rock" as it is commenly known spans over an area of 2.1 square km or 0.81 square miles. It is the most densly populated state in the world and also has the world's shortest coastline.

The principality is ruled by Prince Albert II of Monaco son of Prince Rainier III who became famous world wide after marying American actress Grace Kelly. The country is divided into 7 wards or districts of which the most popular are Monaco-ville (old city), the Exotic Gardens and Monte-Carlo where the Casino and resort areas are located.

The famous perfume company Fragonard was established in 1926 by Eugène Fuchs who named his company after the 18th c. French Painter and to pay homage to the town of Grass (the French capital of perfumes) for having greeted the famed painter and his family.
