• Is this tour private?

  Yes, this is a fully private tour with your own English‑speaking driver/guide and a private experience at the château.

• How long does the tour last?

  This is a half‑day experience from Bordeaux, including return transfers, the vertical tasting and the gastronomic lunch. Timing will be of approximately 6 to 7 hours for the day.

• How many wines will I taste?

  You enjoy a rare vertical tasting of seven vintages of Château Durfort‑Vivens, plus additional wines during the horizontal tasting at lunch. The exact wines poured may vary depending on availability at the estate.

• Is lunch included?

  Yes, a gourmet lunch at the château is included, paired with a horizontal tasting of wines from Château Durfort‑Vivens, Château Ferrière and Château Haut‑Bages Libéral.

• Can the château cater to dietary requirements?

  Most special diets (vegetarian, allergies, intolerances) can be accommodated with advance notice. Please inform us when booking

• What is the group size?

  This tour is designed for 2 to 8 guests travelling together. Larger private groups may be possible on request, subject to château approval

• Which language is the tour in?

  The tour is conducted in English. Other languages may be available on request; please ask at the time of enquiry.

• Is this tour suitable for beginners in wine?

  Yes, but it is a high‑end, in‑depth experience. Curious beginners are welcome, as long as they are interested in learning about fine wines and Bordeaux terroir.

• Is the tour suitable for children?

  Due to the focus on fine wine and the nature of the experience, this tour is best suited to adults (18+). It is not recommended for young children.

• Is the tour wheelchair accessible?

  There may be stairs, uneven ground and standing periods at the estate. This tour is not fully wheelchair accessible.

• What should I wear?

  Smart‑casual clothing is recommended, with comfortable shoes suitable for walking around the estate and vineyard.

• Are snacks provided during the tasting?

  In line with French tasting traditions, snacks are not served during the vertical tasting to preserve the purity of the wine’s aromas. Your main food service is the lunch at the château.

• Do you provide water?

  In order to reduce plastic waste, we do not provide disposable water bottles. Please bring a reusable bottle; water and refills are available at the estate and in the vehicle.

• When does this tour operate?

  The tour is available most of the year, but always subject to château availability, public holidays, harvest and private events. Early booking is strongly recommended due to the exclusive nature of the experience.
