FAQ

  • Where is Toulouse?

Toulouse is a city located in the southern part of France. It is the capital of the Occitanie region and the Haute-Garonne department. Toulouse is situated on the banks of the River Garonne, about 590 kilometers (370 miles) southwest of Paris. Known as "La Ville Rose" (The Pink City) due to its distinct reddish-pink brick architecture, Toulouse is the fourth-largest city in France and is renowned for its rich history, aerospace industry, vibrant culture, and prestigious educational institutions such as the University of Toulouse.
  • What to do in Toulouse?

When visiting Toulouse, there are several exciting things to do and see. Here are some recommendations:

    1. Visit the Basilica of Saint-Sernin:
This Romanesque-style basilica is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a remarkable example of religious architecture. Explore its beautiful interior and admire the crypt, stunning chapels, and intricate artwork.

    2. Explore the Cité de l'Espace:
This space-themed park offers a fascinating experience for both kids and adults. Discover interactive exhibits, a planetarium, life-size space models, and even take a simulated space mission.

    3. Wander around the historic center:
Take a stroll through the charming streets of the old town. Admire the vibrant-colored buildings, visit the Capitole de Toulouse (city hall), and explore the numerous shops, cafes, and restaurants.

    4. Discover the Musée des Augustins:
Housed in a former Augustinian monastery, this museum displays an impressive collection of sculptures and paintings from the Middle Ages to the early 20th century. Don't miss the stunning Gothic cloister.

Sample the local cuisine, particularly the regional specialty, cassoulet, a delicious slow-cooked white bean and meat stew. Toulouse is also known for its vibrant food markets and lively restaurant scene.

Remember to check the opening hours and availability of attractions and make any necessary reservations in advance to ensure a smooth visit.
  • What to wear or bring on this Wine Tour in Toulouse?

We will be walking approximately 2 km along cobblestone streets, so comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing is a must. Please dress appropriately (and bring an umbrella if necessary) to make sure you enjoy your time on the tour.

To reduce environmental waste, we don’t distribute plastic water bottles, so we encourage you to bring a reusable water bottle with you. Water will generally be provided at the wine bars, but may not be available at all times.
  • Alcohol and age restrictions in France?

Drinking wine is a major component of this tour, and as such, we do not accept guests under the age of 18. We reserve the right to ask for an ID to verify your age if you appear to be younger.
