Hennessy Visit Cognac Experience Tasting tour

Arrive at La Richonne, the Hennessy Headquarters located on the banks of the Charente River and begin your tour with the Chai des Pavillons. Here, learn about the history of Hennessy and how the Cognac House became world famous. Depending on the time of the year, you will either follow the "Autumn -Winter" tour that coincides with the distillation period or the "Spring-Summer" tour that will focus on the cycle of the vineyard.

If your tour takes place during the Autumn-Winter period, you will visit the Peu distillery where copper, wood, bricks and fire are combined to create the famous eaux-de-vie. This is the moment when you will be introduced to the distillers who will share their expertise especially the timing of the "cut". Learn about the distillation process, the different steps that have to be made to obtain the precious liquid. 

If your tour takes place during the Spring-Summer period, the warmer weather will have us take you on a stroll through the vineyards to meet the people who grow and tend to the Grapes. Visit the Bataille Domaine where the wine making process will be explained by your guide. Other important features that you will be introduced to include the soil, the wines and grape varieties that can be found in Cognac. Your tour continues with the visit of the Peu Distillery where you will discover and admire the stills as well as the distillation techniques.

For both these options, you will then visit the Faïencerie Cellar where the Hennessy Cognacs are aged. Finally, it will be time to sample different types of eaux de vies. First, taste some that are in the process of ageing. Then, experience the art of blending as you taste two exceptional cognacs: X.O and Paradis. The tour ends at the Hennessy Boutique, where you will have free time to discover all the Cognacs and Collections that are available for purchase.
