Program & Itinerary
Private Half-Day D-Day Experience for Two
Share an intimate half-day D-Day experience designed just for two, with a private English-speaking guide and comfortable transport from Bayeux. This exclusive tour focuses on some of the most iconic Normandy sites linked to the Allied landings and leaves time for quiet reflection at each stop.
Scenic Drive and Historical Introduction
Begin with a scenic drive through the Normandy countryside as your guide introduces Operation Overlord and the events of 6 June 1944. Travelling in a premium air-conditioned vehicle, you enjoy personalised commentary and the flexibility to adapt the pace to your interests.
Pointe du Hoc or Alternative Historic Site
Continue to Pointe du Hoc, the dramatic cliff-top strongpoint between Utah and Omaha Beaches where U.S. Rangers carried out one of the most daring assaults of D-Day. Walk among bomb craters and German bunkers as your guide explains the site’s strategic role and the courage shown here.
Important: Due to ongoing road and construction works at Pointe du Hoc, access may be limited in 2026 and 2027. If the site is fully closed, your visit will be replaced by another major D-Day location such as Sainte-Marie-du-Mont, Angoville or Carentan, preserving the depth of the experience.
Omaha Beach Landing Zone
Arrive at Omaha Beach, one of the best-known D-Day landing zones and scene of some of the heaviest fighting. Walk the sands where Allied troops faced intense defences, while your guide shares stories of the first waves, the losses and the breakthrough that secured the beachhead.
Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial
End at the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial at Colleville-sur-Mer, overlooking Omaha Beach. Stroll among the aligned white crosses, visit the chapel and memorial, and take time for personal reflection as your guide points out key features and monuments.
A Tailored and Personal D-Day Encounter
Throughout the tour, your private guide adjusts commentary to your level of knowledge and interests, answering questions and adding context. This exclusive format is ideal for couples, friends or family members seeking a focused, meaningful introduction to the Normandy D-Day sites.
