Admire medieval Les Baux-de-Provence
Travel through the Alpilles countryside, a landscape of vineyards, olive groves, and rocky hills, to reach the dramatic village of Les Baux-de-Provence. Perched on a rocky spur, this medieval settlement offers breathtaking views over the surrounding Provençal countryside.
Enjoy free time to wander the narrow streets lined with galleries and boutiques, and discover the remains of the 10th-century fortress. If you wish, you can also visit the Carrières de Lumières (entrance not included), an immersive sound-and-light show set inside a former limestone quarry, where monumental walls become giant projection screens.
Visit the charming town of Arles
Continue to Arles, a distinctive Provence town known for its blend of Roman, medieval, and artistic heritage. Discover its UNESCO-listed monuments, Roman ruins, and historic churches, and feel the influence of its unique location between Provence and the Camargue.
Arles walking tour & Van Gogh sites
On arrival, set off on a guided walking tour of Arles.
