Do you pick up at the train station or hotels in Bayeux?
Yes, absolutely. We will come and pick you up either at the train station if you are arriving from Paris or at any accommodation, hotel or AirBnB in Bayeux. We can also pick you up in the surrounding area of Bayeux at a 30 kms (20 miles) radius. -
Is Bayeux the ideal town and departure point for Normandy D-DAY tours?
If you are looking to experience Normandy in the best possible way, then our day trips from Bayeux make for an ideal departure point. The charming small town of Bayeux has a large number of options when it comes to accommodation and dining. Moreover, the historic medieval city centre as well as the famous Tapestry are part of the best things to do while in Bayeux.
Another interesting option is to depart from Caen. We also pick up directly at Caen hotels and train station. The city is larger and is perfect for those that wish to have more options when it comes to activities, cultural events and restaurant options. -
Who conducts your Normandy Private Tours from Bayeux?
We mainly employ accredited and licensed tour guides that are also the drivers for all tours that need visits to be conducted by certified guides. Good examples are: the visit of museums, guided walking tours in cities, visit of historical monuments such as Mont Saint Michel and so on. For some tours, such as the day trips from Bayeux dedicated to WWII, passionate guides that were history teachers, ex servicemen will be with you to explain the details of the battles that raged. All our guides are first and foremost very skilled drivers and all of them speak impeccable English. -
