Program & Itinerary
Discover Brittany’s Pink Granite Coast from Saint-Malo
Experience one of Brittany’s most spectacular landscapes on a private small-group shore excursion from Saint-Malo to the famous Côte de Granit Rose. With your local driver-guide, travel comfortably to the Perros-Guirec and Ploumanac’h area, where surreal pink granite rock formations meet turquoise sea.
Scenic Drive to the Côte de Granit Rose
Depart from Saint-Malo cruise terminal and head north across the Breton countryside towards the Pink Granite Coast. During the approximate 2-hour drive, your guide introduces the region, its unique geology and the plan for your day, so you can simply relax and enjoy the changing coastal scenery.
Walk Among the Pink Granite Rocks
Arrive near Ploumanac’h and Perros-Guirec, at the heart of the Côte de Granit Rose. Follow an easy section of the famous Sentier des Douaniers (customs officers’ path), where gigantic pink granite boulders, carved by wind and waves, create a truly otherworldly landscape. Enjoy time for photos of cliffs, beaches and rock formations glowing above the sea.
Free Time for Lunch with Sea Views
After your coastal walk, enjoy free time for lunch in a local restaurant in Perros-Guirec or Ploumanac’h. Your guide can suggest the best spots to taste fresh seafood and Breton specialities while admiring the ocean views and relaxed seaside atmosphere. Lunch is at your own expense, giving you total freedom of choice.
Last Viewpoints on the Pink Granite Coast
In the afternoon, depending on timing and your interests, your guide may include an additional short stop at another panoramic viewpoint or beach on the Pink Granite Coast. Capture a few final photos of this extraordinary meeting of sea and stone before starting the return drive.
Return to Saint-Malo Cruise Terminal
At the end of the day, travel back to Saint-Malo in your comfortable vehicle. Your private shore excursion is carefully timed to bring you back to the cruise terminal in good time before all-aboard, leaving you with unforgettable memories of Brittany’s Côte de Granit Rose.
