Discover the heart and soul of Burgundy on our flexible half-day wine tour to the Côte de Nuits. Departing from Dijon, this small-group experience is available in the morning and takes you into one of the most prestigious Pinot Noir regions in the world.
Depart from Dijon and Follow the Route des Grands Crus
Your tour begins in central Dijon, where you meet your English-speaking wine expert guide and board a comfortable, air-conditioned minivan. Soon you’ll be driving along the iconic Route des Grands Crus, a legendary wine trail that links Dijon to the vineyards of Gevrey-Chambertin, Vosne-Romanée, and Nuits-Saint-Georges.
Along the way, enjoy breathtaking vistas of rolling vineyards, stone-walled plots (clos), and picturesque wine villages that form part of Burgundy’s UNESCO-listed climats.
Learn the Secrets of Burgundy Terroir
As you travel through the Côte de Nuits, your guide explains how geology, slope, exposure, and climate combine to create Burgundy’s famous mosaic of terroirs. Learn the difference between regional, village, Premier Cru, and Grand Cru wines, and how centuries of history have shaped today’s appellations and classifications.
Visit Two Carefully Selected Wineries
Immerse yourself in the world of Pinot Noir with visits to two carefully chosen wineries in the Côte de Nuits wine area, such as around Gevrey-Chambertin and Nuits-Saint-Georges or the Hautes Côtes de Nuits.
