We booked this tour over the web several months ahead and found Ophorus extremely helpful in assisting us with arrangements. The tour itself was very well organized, pick up prompt and friendly and everything promised delivered. We had a very pleasant and interesting day visiting the Medoc tasting the wine and enjoying the countryside. The visits to to wineries were well worth while. The visit to a wine selling complex was entertaining, but as we did not intend to buy wine, it was not of interest to us. Our guide, Boris, was very knowledgeable. He was multi lingual, and although the tour was in English, for some of our fellow tourists this was not their first language, so his Japanese and Portuguese was very helpful for them without causing us any concerns. If you want to get a nice quick overview of the region and spend a pleasant day we can recommend it.

I went to this tour last September and it made me very happy to have chosen the Ophorus team. They strive to give you the best wine tour experience ever! We took two days to get to know different Bordeaux wine regions. We went to St. Emilion one day and then to Margaux, Paullac and St Estephe the next day. You can take time to buy local wines, the visited vineyards are well known and the experience of understanding the wine making process locally is unforgettable. I strongly recommend this tour particularly with Ophorus! Paulo

MEDOC WINE TOUR FULL DAY This full-day guided tour in the Medoc region offered semi-private tours of two wineries. Each tour had a limited number of participants - no crowds to deal with - making it very pleasurable, since we were able to hear all of the guides' comments and interact comfortably with the other guests. And there was no pressure at all for us to buy any of their products. Delphine was our driver, but she is also a well-informed guide who took us through the countryside, and she was very cooperative with our individual requests to see specific chateaux and take advantage of photo opps. The tour includes time for lunch at a restaurant of our choice, with helpful suggestions made by our driver. Be sure to bring a camera, a raincoat, and binoculars. Our least favorite was the final stop at the commercial wine outlet. While everyone there was very cordial, it didn't give the flavor of the region - that could have been a wine tasting "anywhere." We would have preferred to spend more time exploring the countryside and/or visiting another chateau. We would have appreciated the option of being picked up at our hotel instead of meeting at a centralized location. J.S. Florida

Our wine tour with Alain through Medoc back on Sept 5th was tremendous, and we really were impressed with the Chateau that you selected as well as the authentic lunch at Lion d'Or. The day was impressive and we really found that each Chateau had a very unique experience for us as novices to the area. thank you again for setting up such a lovely day in Bordeaux..wonderful memories for us both.
