Begin with a sightseeing tour of Avignon and then off to world famous Pont du Gard, a unique example of Roman aqueduct construction. Then off to Les Baux de Provence to visit this medieval village located on a rocky spur in the Alpilles mountains. Then, Saint Rémy de Provence where you will have free time to enjoy a traditional provençal market. Lunch on your own. Through picturesque roads lined with olive groves vineyards and fields, reach some of the most beautiful villages of France located in the Luberon area: Roussillon and Gordes. Finally, stop in the Lavender museum for an informative visit concerning this typical provence plant. Return to Avignon.

Culture and Wine in Provence

This tour is dedicated to those that wish to ally culture and gastronomy. First visit the antique city of Orange with its breathtaking Roman Theater, one of the most well preserved in the world (entrance included). Then off to Châteauneuf du Pape for a scenic drive through the vineyards and a pleasant wine tasting session.

Sightseeing in the vineyards around Châteauneuf du Pape, commentaries about the "terroir", the grape varieties, the vinification and the aging cellars. Lavender and Villages in the Luberon

Panoramic tour to discover some of the most beautiful hilltop villages in Provence: Lacoste, Bonnieux, Roussillon (stop). Then off to Gordes, considered as the most beautiful of all the villages. Off to the Abbey of Senanque (June 15th - July 15th Lavender fields) and visit of the Lavender museum (entrance fee included); please note that there is a market in Gordes on Tuesdays.

Provence wine tour

This tour is perfect for those that wish to know a little bit more about the vineyards of Provence in general and of Chateauneuf du Pape in detail. Considered as one of the most prestigious vineyards of France, the reds are mainly obtained with a blend of Grenache, mourvèdre and Syrah while the whites use Picpoul, Clairette, Grenache blanc amongst others. The appelation is allowed to use 13 different grape varieties, giving the wine grower a considerable amount of choice when blending the wines. Enjoy 2 wine tasting session at family run wineries and learn about the "Terroir", vinification process and the art of wine tasting.
